‘Hard-core calculating is fun, so I like designing and implementing my own models. I was trained in quantitative matters and I have a analytical mindset. When companies wish to change their remunerations package, I do impact calculations for various scenarios. The result is a mass of numbers that I then present in a transparent visualization. This gives employers grip on the issues, so they can make the right decisions. That is my aim.

I am an actuary too, so I help organizations switch pension schemes. This means I talk to employers but their employees as well, in works councils and sometimes individually. It is great to show and explain my analyses to people at all levels. What are the consequences of these calculations for the people concerned? It makes my work tangible. Being able to listen well is perhaps the most important aspect in my contact with people. If there are different views on the same situation, I want to know them all.

The atmosphere at BexerHamstra is one of freedom and trust. I can do projects my own way. That’s a great way to work.’
